GymTracker Terms of Service
In short: GymTracker is a workout logging app. The basic version is free. There is an optional subscription. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Your data stays on your phone unless you turn on the backup to your own Google Drive.
1. Who provides the service
GymTracker is developed and published by SotApps, an individual developer based in Spain. Contact: sotapps.support@gmail.com.
2. What the app is, and what it is not
GymTracker is for recording and reviewing your workouts. The analysis it shows describes what you logged.
It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat, and it does not replace a professional. The figures it estimates (such as estimated 1RM or calories) are approximations from well-known formulas, not measurements. Lifting carries a risk of injury: what you lift is your decision, and if you have any doubt about your health, see a doctor first.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the app for what it is meant for. You may not decompile it, redistribute modified versions, or use it for anything unlawful. The app is distributed through Google Play and Google Play's own terms also apply.
4. The subscription
- The app is free. The GymTracker Premium subscription is optional and adds features; whatever was already free stays free.
- Billing, renewal, refunds and cancellation are handled by Google Play, not by us. You can cancel any time from your Google Play account and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Prices may change. A price change never applies to a period already paid for, and Google notifies you before renewal.
- If the subscription ends, nothing you logged is deleted: you lose the paid features, and your data stays on your phone.
5. Your data
What you log is stored on your phone. If you enable the cloud backup (a paid feature), it is uploaded to your own Google Drive account, into a private app folder. SotApps never receives your data. The detail is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Make backups. The app lets you export everything to a file. Phones get lost, broken and wiped, and without a copy there is no way to recover your history.
6. Availability and changes
The app is provided as is. Every effort is made to keep it working and to fix the bugs we find, but it is not guaranteed to be error-free or to work on every device. Features may change between versions; meaningful changes are described inside the app under What's new.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SotApps is not liable for damages arising from use of the app, including loss of data. This does not limit your statutory consumer rights, which apply regardless if you live in the European Union.
8. Minors
The app is intended for people aged 18 and over, and is declared as such on Google Play.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
10. Changes to these terms
If they change, the date above is updated and the new version is published at this same address. If the change is significant, you are told inside the app.
